My students need to have many opportunities to communicate in their own native language as well as learning a new language through play. By hearing nursery rhymes and songs, students will be exposed to new words. The Nursery Rhyme Stem Kits will provide the students exposure to rhymes and pattern in words since most of them are English Language Learners. By knowing nursery rhymes and songs, they can begin to read the words on paper.
My students would use Nursery Rhyme activities at their Learning Centers during Literacy. They will use these materials to explore nursery rhymes while having interactive play. Your generous donations will help improve our Kindergarten classroom by building strong readers and writers. It will change the students lives because they will be able to feel confident and communicate with all students in the classroom. They will love school and feel successful at an early stage because they will learn through play.
