As a teacher, I love my special needs students with all of my heart. I want them to not only be successful, but to feel successful. When they enter my classroom, I want them to know that the playing field has been leveled.
My special needs students love to work independently, but struggle because of processing deficits, cognitive disabilities, behavioral issues, as well as various medical conditions. In order to keep them engaged and motivated during our virtual classes, we use digital learning activities. Digital learning activities make learning fun for my students. The activities are interactive from beginning to end. My special needs students experience a level of independence through the text-to-audio options available when using digital learning activities.
