By having copies of To Kill a Mockingbird in my classroom, every student that comes to my class will have their own book to use. We will use these for guided readings and for hands-on projects. Many students use this novel as the creative jumping off point for many other classes.
By providing these books, I hope to foster a learning that transcends the classroom and brings parents/guardians closer to their children's academic endeavors. Students will read in class and at home. The books will be a constant reminder of the good that people can do for others.
