I have put this list together for donors choose to help me build my program and support a very diverse set of students across the district from kindergarten to 12th grade. I have chosen curriculum such as Super Skills, Behavior Management Without Tears, and Prevent Teach Reinforce to help bring accessible curriculum that is easily implemented by teachers to a wide range of students. Items like a color printer and fidget toys will help be produce and provide high quality supports to teachers and directly to students. Students with disabilities are capable of achieving so much, and small things like a high quality visual support or some sensory input go a long way in a classroom. I have also asked for professional level books like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Tactics of Scientific Research to help build a baseline of evidence based practices for mental health needs and progress monitoring to my district. HSD2 has a significantly economically impacted and diverse population and we have found that mental health issues are also significantly impacting our students. We desperately need to know what evidence based practices work in schools as well as whether what we are doing is working. Thank you for helping me address the needs in my district!
