The Shubert book set that I am requesting will be enjoyed and experienced together as a class. Once read, they will be placed in our "calm corner" so that children may revisit them on their own. The emotions dolls will also be added to our calm corner to help children work through their sometimes overwhelming emotions, and communicate their feelings when words may fail them. The emoji cubes will help to facilitate class meetings, SEL activities, and team building activities. When children don't feel welcome, they don't feel safe, and when they don't feel safe, they cannot learn. These materials will be incredibly helpful in the effort to create an safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for our highly transient population.
