My students struggle with reading in two languages and often are disappointed with their level of reading stamina and engagement. By brightening our classroom with some new flexible seating arrangements, I hope to encourage my students to find a place reading becomes comfortable and enjoyable so they may fall in love with their book.
I would love for them to fall in love with reading. With new seating arrangements, my students will be impressed and excited to experience what most of us already have at home or at school: comfort. Many of my students do not have this opportunity at home. Building a reading life is just the first step to literacy.
