I'm using hands-on, unusual projects to make science and sustainability accessible to middle school students.
This year I will be teaching my students about ecology using the weirder side of science- Tarantulas, Mantids, and Roaches, oh my!
Plus the chance to watch some unusual plants grow in order to observe the diverse ecosystems on our planet.
I will be using a Deluxe Tarantula Habitat, complete with a rosy-haired tarantula, as well as a Praying Mantis Nursery Kit, a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach Habitat, and an Ecology Terrarium Set complete with carnivorous plants to engage and enthrall my students as we learn together about our crazy planet earth.
