We need organizational tools including table organizers, file folders, and mailboxes to help with collaborative work. In our classroom next year, we will be sitting at tables instead of traditional desks. This grouping is more realistic, it's how co-workers usually sit! This organization of students allows for more authentic conversation and group work. It also allows higher achieving students to support struggling learners, while allowing all students to see the strengths of their peers.
''Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much" is a motto we live by in our classroom. Working in teams allows us to live by this mission each day of learning. However, tables come with the challenge of organization! Finding places to store necessary supplies in a way that allows for accessibility is something that would be accomplished if our classroom were to be gifted the tools requested in this Donor's Choose project.
