I have chosen the college ruled composition notebooks for my ELA classes. These notebooks will house the student's notes, entry tasks, brain storming information, as well as conversations between the students and myself. As the students work through each unit, they will add knowledge to their notebooks. Each unit will include reading diverse genres, i.e. narratives, informational articles, and argumentative essays. The writing that we will complete will be a narrative, an informational essay, as well as an argument. With the knowledge, the students will grow into educated young adults. As I improve as a teacher, I realize the importance of self expression. The use of the notebooks allows the students work through difficult tasks. This student created, and student friendly, notebook will be a quick reference throughout the school year.
