This year I have learned that the traditional seating is not working for students and teachers! Kids are always wanting to move and fidget, and this is just not possible in a traditional seating arrangement. I allowed my kiddos to sit on the floor, or stand, or sit in their traditional chairs. What I learned is that most kids wanted to do something different than their chair. Most kids were more focused when they got to sit where they wanted, but they got tired of just sitting on the floor or standing. I want to make it easier and more options for students to choose from.
I want my kiddos to have the ability to be able to choose what kind of seating works best for them!
