When working digitally, students tend to be more engaged and parents tend to be more impressed. It's a fantastic way for students to amass work that can follow them from home to school (and vice versa!), one grade to the next, and from one school to the next. The more a student can interact with their topic, the better they will learn it and remember it. Sometimes, typing it just isn't enough. Keyboarding can limit the output format as well as distract the student that is less skilled in typing.
Using RUBbook Reusable Notebook 3.0 with Erasable RUBpens, students are able to get back to basics and hand write notes, write out responses to prompts, and draw and label diagrams. The benefit of the RUBbook Reusable Notebook 3.0 is that once these handwritten items are completed, they can then be uploaded and added to the students' digital content. This is not only going to enable my English language learners to communicate in their native language (not always available on the keyboard), but all students will be excited to complete those final steps of uploading their written work. The RUBbooks reusable pages ensure we won't run out of paper and students can share notebooks so they won't be limited to a single class. We will be able to truly go paperless -- using paper!
