The High School percussion students are dedicated and passionate individuals. Throughout the year they come together to rehearse music, choreography and drill to vie in competitions on the local, regional, and national level. With the interest in the indoor percussion group growing among the students, the availability of instruments is becoming very slim. Limited instruments are not the only problem we are running into, but the quality and functionality of the equipment is another.
Currently, we have pairs of marching cymbals that are cracked and need to be replaced. Cymbals are a crucial part of the percussion ensemble and provide an opportunity for more students to learn in a percussive environment. As teachers, we strive to provide quality materials and a positive learning environment for our students, but with every effort to obtain new materials comes a cost.
Replacing our damaged cymbals will allow us to continue educating our students for years to come.
