By allowing my students to have their own copy of this book, they will be more engaged in the story and able to read independently or in groups outside of the classroom. We will be able to use class time to have book discussions and work on projects instead of having to read.
With this book, we will discuss plot elements, write short literature responses, have literature circles, and discuss how we can relate today to the main character's story. The goal of all my book studies is to create a love of reading in my students.
