Map Studies project
The students will engage in daily map research with locating people, places and trade around the world. We need a large classroom map to identify where we are travelling and what directions we are going by using latitudinal and longitudinal degrees to understand the absolute location of places. Poster paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils, and pencils would assist us in completing creative activities for country projects. Desk maps where students may work together and zoom in for location would be awesome to allow children to share with others. Learning and understanding the geography of the world and the unique characteristics of the culture of the people is our goal for the year.
