By providing flashlights for reading, I believe readers will be more engaged (even struggling readers) in reading their favorite books. This will make reading exciting for those who enjoy sitting down with a good book and for those who struggle to really enjoy books. Good reading skills is imperative for all students in all subject areas. This project will help support much needed reading skills for 40 3rd and 4th grade students. Which the help of this project, they will have a choice of books and their choice of flashlight. Anyone who knows Children’s knows that they love choices. Engaging students with good books that they enjoy, while enhancing their reading skills, is the goal of this FLASHLIGHT READING project!
