More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education.
My project is focused on the integration of technology in the 21st century classroom. I chose the addition of Chromebooks because they are fairly user friendly and durable. Even though we have a “Bring Your Own Device” policy at our school, many of my students’ families are unable to provide a device for school.
My students will utilize the devices daily. They will use them during individual math center activities, small group presentations for both math and science, as a research tool for math and science, and as access to coding as a classroom extension activity.
Hands-on, more kinetic learning tools are necessary classroom supplies to provide my students the skills they need to reach their highest potentials.
