My fourth-grade students are very energetic. They are consistently having to move, sitting at a typical desk doesn't work for them. I have started to implement choose flexible seating in my classroom, but what I have is not enough for 30 students. This is why I have chosen more seating to add to my classroom. when my students can choose where they would like to sit, either at a small table or on the floor they become more engaged in their learning. Chose comfy floor seats vs desks allows more classroom space for kids to move around and feel a sense of self-responsibility.
Allowing them to chose where they would like to sit and learn teaches them that they have a say in their education and how to make wise chooses for themselves.
