My students are not traditional students, therefore traditional seating is not for my students. Many of them have ADHD and autism. They are challenged to sit still for extended periods of time.
To help my students be most successful academically, they need to be able choose where and how to sit. I selected the wobble chairs and cushions to allow them to move around in a controlled manner Several of my students prefer to lay down on the floor to work, so I selected a few options (area rug, yoga mat) to make this more comfortable.
All of my students like to fidget, therefore I choose items that would allow them to fidget while working (bands for the chair and desk, as well as fidget toys). The fidget toys also help calm my students when they are upset.
