Being an Autistic Support teacher for children grades K-5, I am always looking to find new and exciting things to bring into the classroom which will help benefit my students and their needs. When thinking about items, I have to think of each individual child, and the way that they learn best, the way that they cope best, and what reaches them and their specific needs. With the help of this project they will be given breaks with hands on items, robotics, and weighted lap pads. My amazing students need different items which will help them individually regain their focus, decrease overstimulation, and allow them to take a break they need to benefit on their learning journey. Items such as KaNoodle, weighted lap pads, Coggy, and Qubits, give my students the breaks they need accomplish just that!
