I'm a first year librarian who just inherited a HUGE library that is full of possibilities. There are big blank white walls under the windows that are just dying to have beautiful book quotes displayed with vinyl. I have plans to cut a large quote in each color of the rainbow to make the library really pop!
I want the school library to be my students' safe haven in their otherwise chaotic world. My students need comfy seating options to cuddle up with a book. I want them to learn to be lifelong readers. Part of that is having a nice inviting space that welcomes them to dive in to the book they are reading.
