My students benefit from sensory items. In the classroom, we practice measuring ingredients and reading recipes by making items such as homemade Play-doh and slime. The foam beads on our wish list add another sensory element to our creations. Also, the scented markers will catch my students' attention while also allowing them to practice identifying colors and practice their tripod grasp.
Hands-on learning manipulatives are another way my students learn. These magnetic blocks and take apart dinosaurs will allow my students to practice and build their fine motor skills as well as their eye-hand coordination.
Art items such as contact and shrinky dink paper allow the students to express themselves artistically.
