I am a middle school teacher at a high needs school in Maryland. Our student population is quite diverse. We serve some at risk students suffering from poverty as well as social emotional difficulties. But once the students meet an adult who truly cares about their well-being then they start becoming loving citizens. The majority of our student's school supplies are provided by the staff at our school.
These students need mindfulness activities to learn how to cope with their frustrations. The curriculum has some built in hands on activities to keep the students engaged and focused on their work.
