I have chosen a variety of nature based materials: branch blocks, mirror blocks, sensory shapes, letter stones, and wooden trucks. All of these items are made out of wood and will stand the test of time and be able to be used for years to come. My students will be able to further their literacy learning as well as their speech development by using these items. The mirrors and baskets to store these items in will give the students the ability to look at themselves while they are playing and feel successful when cleaning up.
My school is 100% title one funded and in a very high need area. Giving my students the opportunity to access high quality materials while still learning is exactly what they need in order to be successful.
