By bringing the community LEGO people and community garages to the classroom the children will be able explore people with different capabilities, different color skin, and different jobs that are not in their homes in a safe environment to ask questions about why people are different than them through play . This will make the children aware of others around the world, in their towns, and in the community. In preschool we are teaching the children how to become more aware of themselves and others. This makes them more sensitive to people that are different from themselves and making them comfortable with people that are different than them.
