This proposed project will help provide students in my classroom with necessary snack foods such as fruit snacks, crackers and applesauce to fuel their brains throughout the day! There are homeless and high poverty families within my classroom that come to school unprepared for the day ahead. Many of them rely on the school to provide students with a meal, and a safe place to be.
This request is for snack foods for students to eat during the school day when students are feeling hungry. The snack foods will also support students who did not receive breakfast in the morning because their family could not provide breakfast, or students didn't arrive on time to eat breakfast at school.
My students thank you for helping stock our classroom snack cabinet. Thanks!
