My class is blessed to have Chromebooks for each of my students, which have been provided by our district. We will use these Chromebooks for many things like assessments, online practice for math, reading and writing, but also for coding and documenting student work. We even have a technology specialist in our school who teaches each class once a week.
By providing headphones for each of my students to use with their Chromebooks, it will give my class more freedom to use the amazing programs available to them. Many of the programs provided by my school and those I have signed my class up for require sound. The assessments we have also taken included having the questions read to the student. Right now we have to borrow headphones from a neighboring classroom and so we have been limited to specific times of when we can use our Chromebooks.
My students love to be able to use their Chromebooks and I know that by having our own set of headphones, their excitement will only increase. It will also give me the freedom to include more technology throughout my lessons!
