These new, updated Black History texts will make a significant impact on my students learning. Reading texts about such influential leaders as Michele Obama, Coretta Scott King and Jesse Owens help bring the theme of Black History to life.
Students will be using these texts for a variety of learning objectives, depending on the grade level. Kindergarten through grade 2 will be working with texts to identify non-fiction text features, while grades 3-5 will be able to add more depth to their research projects with these fresh, updated titles.
Students respond to the enthusiasm of new texts, and adding these new titles to our Media Center will ensure they can be used and enjoyed for many years. Help us freshen up our existing resources with a contribution to this project. Thank you!
