Using the all of the new art supplies will allow my students to have more practice with cutting, ripping, tearing, coloring, and much more. My students love to create new things and these supplies would give them many more opportunities.
The construction paper, markers, and crayons will not only allow them to create new items but practice essential skills that will better prepare them for elementary school and beyond.
These supplies will also help teach colors, shapes, taking turns, and following directions. But most important they will help teach the students how to be independent in the creativity process thus fostering their independence through art.
