More than three-quarters of my students do not have access to books at home or a newspaper. By subscribing to Scholastic News, they will stay up-to-date on current events. Hopefully, they will read and realize that even though their own lives are less than perfect, there is not only tragedy in the world, but inspiring stories and good people.
Having the availability of new books for our library from Scholastic book bundles and Scholastic News to read will help build a lifetime love of reading! Even though the world may seem big, they can realize that reading can bring us all together.
