These materials will engage my below grade level reading students in reading for a purpose and explore literary elements in a new way. My class will be divided up into three "teams" and will read one book in the trilogy. They will, in turn, become the expert on their book to teach the other teams. Students will create projects to teach their peers. The culminating project will be a trilogy plot map as part of a class competition. The final will be an escape room to see who can escape district 12 first by completing reading comprehension, vocabulary, figurative language, and plot lotteries!
