When given the option of flexible seating with the use of bean bag chairs, portable adjustable chairs and other options. Students will be given the opportunity to choose the best place that fits their work needs. As I am a special education teacher, I meet the needs of many different children and personalities. I have noticed that over the years, my students all tend to sit in different ways and I fully support their choices as long as they are safe! My students also see that I sit in my chair with my legs crossed and my feet are usually under me. I would love to be able to provide flexible seating and more options to my students. I believe that having flexible seating will increase their attention, ability to focus, and their overall work completion.
