Learning centers are a big part of the Kindergarten classroom. Students learn through play. In our classroom, we have a blocks center, reading center, writing center, science center, housekeeping center, math center, and a puzzle center. Students are given the opportunity to be creative and make choices. The book and storage shelves in our room are falling apart. They are made of wood and are starting to splinter. I would like the students to have sturdy shelves to ensure safety and help promote individual organization. The students thrive on routine and new organizational furniture will help them to put materials where they belong.
