My school is a Title 1 elementary school and consists about 400 students. About 20% of my students are considered homeless. My students are curious, artistic, and creative. My goal is is to have the students to learn about themselves by using colors and pattern choices to find their likes and dislikes. This is also an opportunity to teach the students about jewelry in different cultures. Seeing what kind of materials different regions like to use, patterns were common, and also an introduction about the meaning behind some of them.
Students will be creating fun simple jewelry, such as, bracelets, necklaces, rings, and key-chains.
