These materials will help me teach my students in differentiate centers. Each child will receive the resources they need. My students love working in independent reading and math learning centers. In my classroom students are grouped based on learning needs. They are then given activities to work on with their group which provides them with the extra support of what we are learning in class. In my classroom we review our weekly sight words daily. The sight word center will be very beneficial because it will help my students become better readers. Another center my students rotate to in my classroom is the reading center. Students are grouped based on reading levels. The leveled reading books will allow my children to read independently or buddy read to their partner.
We use a lot of manipulatives during math, especially when I am teaching a math lesson. The manipulatives also help my students make real world connections. It would be great if I had enough manipulatives for each child to use during the math lesson and math centers. The math center materials will make adding and subtracting learning fun in many different ways. I believe learning should be fun and engaging. Children understand and learn better through fun learning.
