My students need chromebooks in order to access our district's required English Language Arts curriculum. We have an e-book with many digital tools attached, but my students cannot access any of it without computer access. This situation is making my task of Covid-19 learning loss recovery extra challenging.
We started the school year in the middle of August and have been without laptops/chromebooks this entire time. I have tried to be creative and work around the lack of technology access, but it has been very difficult. English and Intensive Reading classrooms cannot function the way they should when there are no computers available. Furthermore, many of my students do not have access to computers at home either, which is making the situation even more dire.
