Research shows that movement helps children think! The sensory feedback activated by standing helps children access working memory and process information more efficiently. This effect is especially pronounced in children with learning differences like ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. Increasing low-level activity (like standing) in the classroom helps keep students engaged. My goal is to create a space that meets my students’ diverse needs and empowers them to learn, encourages collaboration, and increases engagement.
The funds donated will be used to purchase three standing desks, which can accommodate 4 students. I am so excited to witness the learning and engagement that will take place as a result of your generosity!! Thank you in advance for your thoughtful and gracious donation.
