As a school counselor, I want to teach social and emotional skill. The technology savvy world we live in often strays our kids from the basic social and emotional skills they need every day. I want to read to them, play games with them, teach each student things an ipad and a computer can't teach them. We need techniques on how to deal with hard things in life, we need to learn how to conquer our bullies, how to be a better (kind) person. We'll read about test anxiety, how to make friends, how to handle sticky situations, and more.
