I am a first year teacher that needs many supplies for my students to have the best learning experience they can have. I believe every student is an individual and learns in different ways. That is one reason I like differentiated instruction and project-based learning. I want each child to feel they are smart and know every one has their own strengths and weaknesses. Some of the supplies I chose are colorful rugs to brighten up the classroom and that will be used everyday, STEM games for more hands-on activities, flexible seating arrangements that will be accessed everyday for the students, fiction and nonfiction books for my library I am building, white boards, clipboards, writing essentials and much more.
The materials I have provided on this list will assist my students in not only achieving and reaching their goals, but make the classroom feel like a welcoming, comforting and safe environment and make them feel like individuals.
I have obtained some materials from other teachers and have purchased many items on my own. However, I am still in need of quite a bit of materials to get this first year off to an amazing start. These items are just a few of the many things I will need to get my first year of teaching off on a successful path. I thank all of you in advance for supporting me in my first year teaching and my students thank you in advance for making their classroom and learning experience even better.
