If I were to receive these items it would truly make a difference in my classroom!
The plan for the bean bag chairs, wobble cushions, chair bands, and area rug is to be able to give my students the tools they need to be able to learn throughout the year. Some kids truly need other options than just the standard desk chair and it's amazing how much of their work and how much learning will get done. These kids deserve the options. I would be able to use the fidget bands for their chairs to keep their little bodies busy while I teach, the bean bags for a flexible seating option or to be able to use to teach appropriate coping strategies and the rug would be used to do a morning calendar time so the students can get up out of their seats to collectively learn as a class!
For example, when students need an area to calm down in when overwhelmed or frustrated, the bean bags will be used to help them use appropriate coping strategies for calming down and getting back to the work they need to do. As for the bands for the chairs and the cushion seats, those are amazing for busy bodies so they can be able to sit in the chair during a lesson and focus on learning. The rug will be used for the calendar time to work together on different social skills, academics and behaviors every morning when the students and I first start the day in the classroom! I'm hoping with all of these items, we will be able to give students more independence on which coping strategy or item will help them either stay focused with or calming themselves down.
I truly appreciate everything as these kiddos are near and dear to my heart!
