Although many young students do not have organization on their mind, it is a key skill in a classroom. Pencils, books, colored paper, and student desks all have some form of organization involved. Students use organization each and every day, and it is a skill that will be used throughout their lives. By working to develop this skills now, the students will be set up for success. Not only will these bins provide students the opportunity to work on their organizational abilities, but it will allow them to find their materials faster, and more efficiently.
Whether researching in the classroom, looking for a science material, finding a book by a specific author, or simply looking for a book about Albert Einstein, it is important that students know where to look. By utilizing organizational bins, the students will be able to find what they are seeking efficiently and effectively. This will allow them to develop their skills, as well as learn more about whatever grows their mind and keeps them interested.
I have seen students make great bounds towards learning about what interests them and organizing aspects of their daily life. These bins will allow students to continue to grow these skills, and prepare them for their future!
