My classroom library is very small, and the library at my school just does not have very many books that are appropriate for my learners! My students are just beginning to become interested in books. I would like to grow my classroom library so that I can promote my student's interest in story time and increase my student's exposure to new language! Each week I like to read a new story to my students. While reading, I have students interact with the story in a variety of ways based on their individual ability levels.
Some students will match a picture to the book, some students will touch a picture, while others will answer questions about a book!
For this reason, it is important that I have a wide variety of physical books. I will use these books each day to teach my students different math and literacy concepts throughout the year.
