We have added a classroom to the school where I will be working. The staff has been amazing at donating extras, but many of these have run their course. The students will have access to the school library, but many have needs within the classroom to explore other genres. Each student is expected to have at least one book that is comfortable for them to read and one book that is a challenge for them in their desk. With a larger library, we can have more diversity in the options so each day they are able to work on their individual skills. This is at least 50 books a week! When there are only 70 books it really challenges making choices based on their skills and interests.
