I teach in a self-contained special education classroom, specifically called a life skills class, with six students who face challenges every day with a smile and a great attitude. I teach grades K-2. The primary disability of the students in my classroom is Autism or Intellectual Disability. Learning can be hard for my students, but they persist and persevere and learn in their own unique ways.
