Make a donation Ms. Rikard can use on her next classroom project.
Right now, I am working hard to clean and organize a very old, very run-down school library. The shelves are chipping and crumbling in places, there is no color ANYWHERE, and there are only four tables with plastic chairs and no storage for headphones, mouse pads, and other items we need for our small computer lab within the library.
With these donated items, this school library can come to life! I can add inspirational reading posters to brighten things up and help cover up the chipping walls and shelves. With the addition of the bean bag chairs, the older students will have a comfy place to sit and read their newest book. The colorful carpet will be the perfect inspiration for younger students to sit and listen to an exciting story. The storage cubbies will give the library a little more space by removing the headphones and extra mouse pads from already crowded computer tables.
Students will feel important and that they matter greatly as they walk into the library each week because it will reflect the vibrancy that I feel about each of them and the hope they will fall in love with reading!
