By using flexible seating it will allow my students to keep their bodies moving while they are working. It also allows my student to have a choice in what seat works best for them to learn. With my students being young, flexible seating will give them the power to stay engaged and learn to make choices based on what their body and brain needs rather than what the teacher chooses. Also allowing young students to have a different choice daily will increase engagement. Flexible seating will increase motivation and engagement in my classroom. I have already noticed a change in student engagement since incorporating a few different seating choices. Also as you will see some of my choices are dog/paw print theme, this is the theme of our classroom and my students love it.
