The Sphero Mini will be used to teach basic programming or sequencing of commands for students. We will create mazes and tasks to complete, which students will only see success with once commands are in the correct order, like lines of code. I would even love to see my students 3D print attachments so the sphero can do additional things like fins to swim, mazes to race through, possibly even their own equimpent to create games they can play with them, like soccer goals or tunnels. The SAMS Labs kit is rather expensive, but it alligns to math, literacy, science, and our new Kansas computer science standards. Students will have to troubleshoot, plan, and work collaboratively to create their own vehicles, instruments, alarms, and whatever they can dream up.
