Before you can read and write you need a good foundation set - this foundation is the alphabet. This project will help me prepare my students for success in reading and writing by teaching them the alphabet in fun and exciting - hands-on - ways! The magnetic letters and boards will make it easy to isolate individual letters and sounds now, and can be used later to start building words and sentences. Plus the boards have a dual purpose and can be used to practice their writing as well! The dough stamps combine the excitement of playing with Play-Doh with the excitement of learning! Students can be challenged to work on specific letters, or build words. The letter building activity center will challenge students - they may know the letter but they will need to think of which pieces are needed to create it. They are the perfect resource to incorporate STEAM and ELA! The sight-word sentence builders will help students express their own creativity while learning new words. The word sliders will be used to help students isolate specific sounds in a word - and if the are unsure of the word the picture clue can be used to help them sound it out.
By making learning hands-on and fun you will create a desire to continue learning!
