My students come to school full of life and ready to learn! Just like adults get tired of sitting in hard chairs all day, students do too! They need more flexible/comfortable seating options to enhance student engagement and learning. Studies show that students learn better when they are physically active and comfortable. Students are able to bounce on an exercise ball, sit, stand, kneel, etc.
My young students will greatly benefit from having various seating options in the classroom. Their constant need for movement can be met with these different seating tools. Not only will flexible seating encourage learning independence, it will also allow students to take ownership of their learning style and decisions. These are two very important, yet difficult to reach, aspects needed in early childhood education. These simple tools can greatly benefit my students' school success now, and in the future. My students, their families and I truly thank-you for any donation and help that you provide for our classroom!
