Our classroom project is creating art as a daily activity that is available to our students! It is healing medicine for our children to empower their social-emotional resiliency skills throughout their lives! These art supplies will allow our students to continue to create their masterpieces in our art center activities! They have learned about the features on their faces creating their own self portrait! They will next be learning about their body parts, naming them and then painting a full size body self portrait! Our students also draw their own families, naming each family member in their portraits! I have seen how Art positively affects our students, empowering them to build their self esteem, social-emotional levels, and their resiliency skills that they carry through adulthood!
