This project will allow my students to perform several labs and explore the chemical makeup and nutrition found in common foods. This is a hands-on experience that students highly benefit from.
My students will be able to see and understand that they are what they eat. To allow students to see and make a better judgment of food choices to their diet. As students actually see what food contains, they can process that not all foods are equal in nutrition.
The ability to see how quickly germs spread is a major issue in the food industry. Food safety and sanitation is a concept that all students will see first hand.
